Noelie Lavergne & Noelie Lavergne
Ainsley Renee' Lavergne and Cedric Wade Lavergne were united in Holy Matrimony on Saturday April 26, 2014 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Lafayette. The Very Reverend John Bedingfield officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Gerald and Noelie B. Lavergne of Judice. She is the granddaughter of Mildred L. Bourque and the late Anatole Bourque of Judice, and late Mr. and Mrs. Lene' Lavergne of Rayne. Ainsley is a graduate of Acadiana High School and a graduate of Acadiana Technical College and attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is currently employed as a purchase coordinator in the oilfield industry.
The groom is the son of Rita M. Lavergne and the late Bradley M. Lavergne. He is the grandson of Gertie Lavergne and the late Edward Lavergne, and the late Mr. And Mrs. Curley Mire of Lafayette. Cedric is a graduate of Comeaux High School and attended South Louisiana Community College. He also served in the Louisiana National Guard and completed a tour duty in Iraq. He is the owner and operator of C&J Enterprises a local independent vending company.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Jasmine Couture strapless golden cream satin gown with a sweetheart neckline with beaded embroidery throughout with an A-line skirt and cathedral train. She wore a fingertip veil edged with satin to compliment her dress. She carried a garden cascade of hydrangea, roses, and dendrobium orchids. Her bouquet had accents of greens, blues, and purple accented with peacock feathers. As her something old she wore her maternal grandmother's original wedding rings on her right hand. As her something borrowed she intertwined her maternal grandfather's rosary in her flowers, and she also nestled in her paternal grandfather's pocket watch which he purchased on the day her father was born. She also attached her paternal grandmother's graduation ring from Judice High which is no longer a high school, to the pant loop latch of the watch. Her grandmother was in the graduating class of 1947. Ainsley thought it was a perfect opportunity to honor both, her grandmother, and the community she grew up in. Judice School is where some of her grandparents, her mother, her mother in law and herself were all educated at some point in their lives.
Rachel Lanigan, college friend of the bride served as the maid of honor, the bridesmaids were Jessica Gonsoulin high school friend of the bride, and Kelsey Cedotal, friend of the bride.
Derrik Lavergne, cousin of the groom served as best man. Groomsmen were Jacques Gonsoulin friend of the groom, and Jonas Melancon cousin of the bride.
The flowers girls were Allie and Katie Lavergne, daughters of the groom.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Petroleum Club. After returning from their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Lafayette, La.
